These sound covers replace the stock covers on the air filter box of the BMW R 1300 GS, R 1300 GS Adventure, and R 1300 RT, and provide the rider with a significantly more noticeable intake sound. The more open airflow also improves the fresh air supply to the air filter, which can positively impact performance—especially when combined with compatible engine software.

The sound covers were developed for the BMW KA models and are compatible with the BMW R 1300 GS, BMW R 1300 GS Adventure, and BMW R 1300 RT. They replace the stock covers on the air filter box and allow for a more open airflow toward the air filter. Thanks to the more open design, the engine’s intake sound is much more noticeable to the rider. Especially on modern motorcycles, where the engine often sounds very subdued, the sound covers bring back more excitement, a greater sense of the engine, and a more direct riding experience. In addition to producing a clearer intake sound, the modified airflow design also helps ensure a better supply of fresh air to the air filter. This improves airflow in the intake area, which—especially when combined with the right engine software—can have a positive effect on performance. The sound covers are supplied as a set for the left and right sides. They replace the original covers, and the stock screws are reused. Installation is simple, requires no special tools, and can be completed in a short amount of time. It is particularly effective when used in combination with compatible engine software, such as a Level 1 or Level 2 performance upgrade. However, the sound covers can also be installed individually if the focus is on a more pronounced intake sound and a more engaging driving experience.
