The short-stroke throttle grip replaces the standard electronic throttle grip on the handlebars and continues to perform the same basic function: It receives the rider’s throttle command and transmits it electronically to the motorcycle.

The difference lies in the significantly shorter rotation angle. While the standard throttle grip requires approximately 72 degrees to go from idle to full throttle, the short-stroke throttle grip reduces this angle to approximately 58 degrees. As a result, less hand movement is required to achieve the same throttle response.

This makes the motorcycle feel more direct, sportier, and more responsive. Especially when riding dynamically, it provides a more precise feel at the throttle, since throttle inputs can be executed with a shorter travel. The change is not a cosmetic modification, but rather a functional optimization of the handlebar controls.

It is particularly effective when used in conjunction with custom-tuned engine software. The short-throw throttle grip can, in principle, be installed on its own; however, we generally recommend using it in combination with a suitable tuning package, such as a Level 1 or Level 2 performance upgrade.

Since this is an electronic throttle, a software adjustment or calibration is required after installation. This is the only way to ensure that the vehicle correctly recognizes and processes the throttle values.

Without proper calibration, implausible gas commands, malfunctions, or uncontrolled gas reactions cannot be ruled out. Installation and commissioning should therefore only be performed if followed by software calibration and functional testing.
