The connector cover protects the exposed wiring harness connector on the exhaust valve actuator of your BMW motorcycle when it is not connected. The blank plug simply plugs into the open connector and prevents moisture, dirt, or corrosion from entering the connector.

If the exhaust flap actuator is deactivated and disconnected as part of an engine software modification or performance upgrade, the exposed connector should not be left unprotected on the vehicle. Without a cover, moisture, dirt, and corrosion can enter the connector and cause long-term damage or contact issues.

The cover plug is a simple yet practical solution for neatly protecting the original wiring harness. Installation is straightforward and can be performed either by the customer or by a repair shop.

Its use is particularly beneficial in combination with custom-tuned engine software, for example, with a Stage 1 or Stage 2 performance upgrade. The cover plug does not replace a software adjustment; rather, it protects the exposed connector after the exhaust valve actuator has been deactivated or disconnected.

The package includes a single cover plug for the wiring harness connection of the exhaust flap actuator.
